A super easy guacamole recipe that pairs perfectly with some homemade pita chips.

For the baked pita chips:
- 2–4 whole wheat pitas
For the guacamole:
- 2 avocados
- 1/2 cup fresh tomatoes, diced
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp red onion, minced
- juice of 1/2 a lime
- 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- fresh ground pepper
Instructions
- Make the baked pita chips: Preheat oven to 325F. Cut each pita into 8 triangles and place on baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Make the guacamole: Remove the pit from the avocados and place the flesh in a medium bowl. Mash with a fork.
- Mix in tomatoes, garlic, red onion, lime juice, cilantro, salt and pepper.
- Serve with baked pita chips and/or vegetables. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for a couple days. Keep in mind that avocado browns overtime, but this won’t affect the taste of your guacamole!
Notes
For Gluten Free: Use gluten free pita bread, or store-bought gluten free chips.
