Description
The perfect refreshing summer frozen dessert. Only 4 ingredients!
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 3 tbsp agave syrup*
- zest of 1 lime
Instructions
- Add the frozen strawberries, water, agave nectar, and lime zest to a blender. Blend until well combined and very smooth (no lumps, should be quite liquidy).
- Pour mixture into a loaf pan, flat baking sheet, or freezer safe container (don’t fill it completely to ensure extra space for the ice to expand!). Freeze until solid (around 4-6 hours depending on the temperature of your freezer – I usually begin freezing in the morning or the night before).
- Once frozen, scrape with a fork until fluffy & icy granita forms! Serve immediately and store any leftovers in the freezer.
Notes
*You may substitute the agave syrup with maple syrup, just note that it will be less sweet! I don’t recommend using honey, as it doesn’t dissolve well in cold mixtures.
